Q. Which Products Do DWB manufacture 'in-house'?
A. All DWB factories have the manufacturing capabilities for roof trusses, posi-joist & timber frame. We also have the ability during especially busy periods, to pass work from one shop floor to the other.

Q. What is the lead-in time for orders placed with DWB?
A. As demand fluctuates, so does the waiting period from order to manufacture, although an approximate delivery waiting time will be included with any quotation.

Q. Are you able to design products 'in-house'?
A. Yes, all roof trusses and posi-joist produced by DWB are designed by our own teams of specially trained design staff.

Q. Which details do you need to prepare a quotation?
A. For roof trusses, we require as an ideal, floor plans, sections and elevations, although we can prepare a 'ball park' price from less. For posi-joists we need a floor joists layout plan, and for timber frame a full set of working drawings will be required.

Q. What can you supply for a roof structure?
A. We can supply any thing from the 'bare bones' of trusses only through to full structure including bracing, builders metalwork, infill timbers, dormer studding, tank stands, valleys etc. to suit your individual requirements.

Q. Is there a minimum or maximum span for trussed rafters?
A. Not really, trusses can be manufactured up to 11m in 35mm timber and up to 15m in 47mm timber. Over this span, the truss is made in sections or as multi-ply trusses connected together, depending on transport conditions.

Q. How is the span of a truss measured?
A. The span of a truss is normally measured as overall wall plates. The wall plates tend to be on the inside skin of a cavity wall. If in doubt, please contact us and we will be pleased to arrange for a member of our sales team to meet you on site and measure all details for you.

Q. What if I don't know the pitch of an existing roof and need to line up with it?
A. Don't worry, again we will travel to site to confirm the pitch, along with all other details.

Q. Can you provide treatment to all products?
A. Yes. all our products can be supplied with pressure impregnated treatment using Protim Solignum or other approved treatment.

Q. Do you provide any information for the council?
A. Yes, we provide full drawings and calculations for local councils to approval.
